Alzheimers does not just affect the person with the disease but yet everyone in the family that is involved. Please take a moment and donate to the Alzheimers Assocation. If we all pitch in help, maybe someday there will be a cure for this horriable disease that affects so many.
We have watched mom slowly turn into a shell of what she once was. In the beginning, we saw glimpses of who she was. There are no more glimpses...if she remembers our names it makes us happy.
We watch dad, take care of her. He is amazing with her and he does whatever he can for her. He tries to do it all and at times does. If only he would take the help that our family tries to give him. As a caregiver, he neglects himself againest the pleas of all of us.
Let's hope that one day their will be a cure.

Please grant my visitors tolerance for my confusion,
Forgiveness for my irrationality and the strength
To walk with me into the mist of memory
My world has become.
Please let them take my hand and stay awhile,
Even though I seem unaware of their presence.
Help them to know how their strength
And loving care will drift slowly
Into the days to come just when I need it most.
Let them know when I don't recognize them
That I will. . . I will.
Keep their hearts free from sorrow for me,
For my sorrow, when it comes,
Only lasts a moment, then it's gone.
And finally, please let them know,
How very much their visits mean,
How even through this relentless mystery,
I can still feel their love.

A moment of Change
As we welcome Obama as our new president. I can't help but be excitied! Even if you weren't aboard with him, there is a magic to his words. When he speaks, you stop and listen to what he has to say. In all my life, I have never been moved be a president. I have liked this one or that but never moved.
Never moved to vote. Never moved to care enough to listen to what they had to say. I am moved by the greatness of this man. I am moved by his words and his promises. I know that not all promises will be kept. I believe in Obama and our America.
Even Hunter picked him to vote at his school. Maybe children know more than we think. As I ran my errands today, I looked around. Everyone seems happier and ready for the future. I think this may have been the change that we need. Thank you America for being the great country you are!
I am very proud to be an American!

Fall time
It is officially fall but yet it still is hotter than everything! Its sad that Texas doesn't have seasons. I miss the east. Where the leaves change those beautiful bright colors and they fall to the ground. The air is crisp and cool. I miss all the festivals that come with the season.
Someday I will experience the sweet fall again.
Someday I will experience the sweet fall again.

Are you kidding me?
So I ususally don't complain about things in my life because I think its not that pro active. But today I must! So H was sick so I went to pick him up from school. Poor pumpkin has the flu...So of course he was sick a few times in the car, no big deal. I cleaned him, the car and got him all cozy.
M came home from work so I can go to my class. By the time I get home from school, I am not feeling well...So I had asked M earlier that we need to get crackers and ginger ale. They were both asleep so I went to lay down. Mind you it was in the high 90s today and I was dressed in a sweatshirt and sweatpants.
When I get up I asked M if he called his parents like I asked, no he didn't. Or did he get the stuff for our sick boy. I asked if he could go get stuff....his response was No, I have to bowl. WTF? You have to bowl?
And he didn't give H the bucket to throw up in so he threw up everywhere. Which I don't care about H doing that BUT if M had just done what he was suppose to it wouldn't have happened.
The kicker is M doesn't get why I am pissed at him! GRRR!

My baby is in Kinder!

I can't believe that my boy is old enough to go to school already. It was just the other day when I was holding him in my arms. It truely has gone by way too fast. He had a great time at school and just loves it.
I on the other hand, don't like it! lol I know life has to move forward but I am so using to being there for everythign that it's hard to let him go. He now has his own life! When I came home today, it was so quiet...It's not like when they went out for a bit with Dad or our sleeping, it's just so quiet!
But Hunter is so happy that I can't be sad....It's just the next step!

The End of an Icon in Rochester
Chili's Olympic Lanes is where good times rolled
Center was paradise for bowling pros and amateurs
Kevin Oklobzija • Staff writer • July 23, 2008
Taped to an inside lobby window at Olympic Lanes in Chili has been a tip for everyone who entered the bowling center.
"The secret to becoming a better bowler is knowing where to put your feet."
For 50 years, the Rochester bowling community — from bumper-bowl beginners to 300-game strike-masters — put their feet on the wooden lanes at Olympic.
School kids learned to bowl at Olympic, housewives were bused to the center for their daytime leagues, and the greats of the Professional Bowlers Association won tour events there.
But the pins will never fall at Olympic again. The last games have been rolled at the storied 80-lane center, the largest bowling complex in New York state.
Today, plywood covers the windows and doors of Olympic Lanes after AMF Bowling Inc. of Richmond, Va., closed the center last week due to underperformance.
"It's a landmark and it's going to be missed," said Marcie Rawls of Rochester, a league bowler at Olympic for more than a decade. "It's going to be a loss for the community."
Especially for those whose leagues have called the center home.
"Everyone's talking about where we're going to bowl now," said Shanita Barclay of Rochester. "The PBA was there. That was the spot."
The former Scottsville Road entertainment icon now is merely a boarded-up spot of memories for many.
"When I was a kid, that was the big, modern bowling center," said Michael Tucci of Henrietta. "Growing up in a small town (LeRoy) where there were eight lanes, that place was phenomenal. It's a bit of sadness."
Such is life, says Marcel Fournier, who managed Olympic for founder Joseph Schuler from 1961 to 1973, then was the owner from 1983 to 1998.
"Olympic is a casualty of the changing economic and social times," says Fournier, who now lives in Port Orange, Fla. "People are less willing to join (leagues) and do anything on a repeat basis."
Ah, but that's not how Olympic rocked and rolled in the 1960s, '70s and '80s.
"Everyone bowled back then," said Kevin Riley of Brighton, whose first job was at the center in 1980 when he was 15. "Those were the days. We had a blast there.
"On Friday and Saturday night, leagues started at 6 at night, and at nine another league started. You couldn't get a lane to bowl until 11 o'clock."
Which is why Fournier opened the doors 24 hours a day on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the mid-1980s.
"Olympic was a community fixture," Fournier said.
Even in the wee hours with moonlight bowling.
"We started at midnight and it was a good, cheap thing," said Pete MacCracken, who began working at Olympic in 1967 and now is general manager of AMF's Empire Lanes in Webster. "We had probably 200 to 250 people.
"They bowled and ate. We had chopped up hot dogs, macaroni salad, baked beans. It was the garbage plate before the garbage plate."
Olympic literally rocked on Friday nights in 1986 with Rock & Bowl. Riley was the disc jockey for a time.
MacCracken remembers riding the Olympic bus to the center, for bowling and work.
"The bus traveled around the neighborhoods of the 19th Ward and picked up kids to bring them bowling. I bowled every Saturday morning, and I'd fill the pop machines for Marcel."
Fournier says transporting patrons to Olympic was common practice 40 years ago.
"We were busing 300 grade-school kids a week during the day. And this was the one-car-per-family era, so we provided transportation for housewives to bowl in daytime leagues."
The beginning of Olympic's end may have started when other Rochester fixtures began to downsize.
"The league bowler was a huge part of the bowling business in Rochester," Fournier said. "When Delco, Kodak, Rochester Products and Xerox cut back, the employees who were bowling two, three, four times a week began to cut back."
Said Bill Fortino, owner of the independent Bowl-A-Roll Lanes in Henrietta: "Unfortunately this closing is symptomatic of the times, because bowling has always been perceived as a blue-collar sport. Bowling was always supported by industry. When industry was vibrant in town, there were all kinds of leagues."
Many area bowling centers are still thriving. A Scarborough Research study showed 21 percent of residents in the Rochester area went bowling between February 2007 and January 2008. Two years earlier, the number was 20 percent.
But AMF apparently deemed Olympic a liability, not an asset.
"It's a shame — it was the first major, ultra-modern center in this whole area, from Buffalo to Syracuse," said Spencerport resident Frank Formicola, who laid the marble flooring during construction, worked the night desk starting in 1957, and later became Fournier's partner.
Formicola and Fournier brought the PBA Tour to Olympic 14 times and the ladies pro tour five times.
"We were the only city that had both tours at the same time in the same center," Formicola said.
Only memories remain.
"It's sad," he said. "The place is my blood, my family."

Olympic Bowl is full of memories for me. My grandmother was a waitress and worked at the snack bar for years. Anyone that ever stepped foot into the bowl knew her. My parents met there while working there in the mid 70s. Later my dad also met my stepmom as she worked the amusement park.
As a child, I remember going over to the park when my mom was done working at the bowl and riding the rides. When you walked into the bowing alley everyone knew you and your family. It was amazing place to be as a child and later as an adult before AMF worked there. I waitressed there in the mid 90s and it was a blast. It was crowded with leagues and it felt like a huge family. It was comforting to be there. I met my now husband there in 95 while he was in town working for the PBA. I than moved to another state and would come back to visit family and the always stop at the bowl. My sweet Grandma worked there until the day she died in 2000.
Olympic was more than a bowling alley to me. It was a great place to grow up and work. I am glad I got to be apart of the amazing place it use to be.

I am the Golden Goose
I became an egg donor for the third time in the past year. It has been harder this time around. My body decided to take longer than ususal. So a 3 to 4 week process turned out closer to a month and 3 weeks. My IV was a pain to get in cause my veins were not intrested in giving any more blood. I did have to inject hormones into myself also. But overall its an amazing experience. I have given all three couples 25eggs a piece. That's a lot of eggs! lol
The first couple had an healthy baby.
The secind couple is prego with twins.
And well we will wait and see with this next couple!
So many people think I am crazy to do this, family members included. I think anyone that is a mom can understand on a certain level. Having Hunter was an amazing experience. I know so many people that have had horriable heartache not being able to get pregnant or having a horriable twist of fate happen where they lose their baby.
I want to give back to the world. I want these woman to get to know what its like to be pregnant and have that sweet baby that they dream for so badly.
The love of a mother for their child is like nothing else in this world. I know when I look at my sweet boy and I know how lucky I am to have him. Hunter is amazing! I don't know how I ever lived without him. He has made me see the world in a different light.
As I sit here with my heating pad and cramps, I know just how lucky I am to be picked by this couple to help them acheive their dreams.

The next chapter begins
My sweet Hunter is done with preschool and starting Kinder in the fall. Am I ready? No!! I am not ready for this next chapter to start......Although it already has. He is a big boy now that doesn't need me for everything anymore. And he also tells me that he can do it by himself! It makes me sad but I know life goes on. I know that he is ready and that is what matters most.
So since my boy is starting a new chapter, I have decided to start my own. I am going to go back to school for nursing. I have wanted to go back to school since I had Hunter. Now is the time to do it. I have started the process and its overwhelming!! But I know it will be so be worth it. I am super excitied!!

Mother's Day
Tomorrow is Mother's day. We all stop to think of how we feel about our moms. And even when we aren't close to them we try to find the good in them even if its just one day.
I have been a mom for 5 years. The time has flown by so fast. I love to watch my sweet boy grow into a big boy. He isn't the same little crazy boy that I use to rock to sleep. Its so amazing to watch what he has become and is becoming.
This was the first time that he made me a card in school. By far that card means more to me than anything. I feel lucky to be a mom to that sweet boy of mine!

What to do?
I went into work today to find out that I get to have the day off....How do you decide what to do on the day? There are a ton of things that I NEED to do but what about what I want to do?
Hunter and I went to the store. We went home and I changed into my jammies. Now I sit on my ass on the computer, watching bad tv and eating ice cream out of the container. My child is playing computer games and watching Zuthra....I think he perfers lazy days too!

Painting....
As a grown up, I love painting my house. I love how that simple color can change a whole room. It's a magical type experience.... I had promised my sweet boy that we would make his room an "outer space" room for some time now. And with my fab neighbor who keeps telling me about all her painting and her fab colors and such. Well it gave me the painting bug.
Hunter picked out the color, Sorcerer blue. As in Mickeys sorcerer hat. Then we went to go get him a couple space things.
So we get home and the painting begins. Hunter helps and then gets bored and wants me to do it all which is fine by me. Of course, then I hear Bones wanting me cause he has had it with daddy. Whatever I am PAINTING!! So everything is settled and I tell Mike to come look.
Now, when I say how does it look? Don't say great! But do you have more paint? Just tell me oh pumpkin you missed a spot here..... Don't complain about the damn blue spot on the rug because eventually we will be getting hardwood and plus we are going to get the carpet clean. Oh and yes I know there is paint on the door, it will be gone when I do the touch ups. And how about offering me some of that damn tea you are drinking? Cause I am hot, on hormones and in paint fumes?? And please don't tell me, you need me to make you a homemade Italian dessert for friday while I am in the middle of all this paint! Just an fyi!
I am looking forward to finishing Hunters room tomorrow with him and getting him somemore space things for his room. And I think I am done painting for now! lol

Sick again......
My sweet boy is sick again....He has a fever of 104 and pink eye in both eyes. OY! Preschool has been a wonderful experince for both of us BUT he has caught every single thing that has blown through that damn place. The good point of it all...is I am a teacher at the preschool so they are very understanding about me being not able to come into work. If it were another job I would probably be fired by now...But luckily I have a super great boss so she understands. Now lets hope for a better day tomorrow! I miss my healthy boy.

Milf?
So what makes a milf? We all know what it means......We hear it everywhere. I am only 30 and I NEVER heard of anyones mom being a Milf when I was young. More far from that status.
I have been reffered to as a milf by my brothers friends. All my friends are referred as MILFs. We refer to it as a badge of honor because who doesn't want to a milf?
But on a side not I have a friend who is 35 and is now a gilf. Well, because of her stepdaughter and she DOESN"T like that term at all!! lol

Sickness
I work as a preschool teacher at Hunters school. So today his class was bringing my class a "treat". When I noticed he was whiter than white.....He said he didn't feel so well. He made it to the bathroom and started to vomit. The good thing about being at his school is I am there and get to go home right away with him. He stayed on the couch the whole day and slept alot. So I assumed he was on the mend when he said I am hungry. Just 2 short hours later the vomiting starts again. So I get him all cleaned up and place him in a comfortable spot and clean up all the nastiness.
Then he throws up everywhere again......What a lovely process we go through as moms. So he is cleaned up, the laundry is washing and the carpet no longer has vomit on it. Now lets hope this is the last round of it....
On the plus side, Mike is staying with him tomorrow so I can go into work. We have never faced that option before since I have always been a sahm. But now we are both working and how do you decide? Well, I guess in the end the wife decides for you! lol

The Secret?
So a few of my girlfriends swear by the Secret. So I decided what the hell? So Mike and I sat down to watch it. At first I thought, WTF?? What kind of cult ass crap is this? But then my mind changed as we watched it. Even Mike is on board with this. We have tried little experiments and it seems to be working.
Overall, whats wrong with being positive and happy with what you have? Nothing you say. Or wait.....Don't we want everything we can't or don't have? Sometimes yes. But we can have everything as long as we are happy with what have and positive.
I have made my list of my things that I want, since the universe is my catolog.
I am not going to post all of my list since most of it is private to me.
But I will list 2 things~
I want hardwood floors in my house.
I also want all debts to be paid off in 6 months.
So lets see what happens! Give it to me Universe!

I am not going to post all of my list since most of it is private to me.
But I will list 2 things~
I want hardwood floors in my house.
I also want all debts to be paid off in 6 months.
So lets see what happens! Give it to me Universe!

Just one moment
You realize all of a sudden that your house is quiet......Your husband is off watching a football game, your child is off playing a game..... In the beginning you would have told your husband what you are going to do but not anymore.
You sneak off to the bathroom and lock the door. You begin to get all your "special stuff" out. The special conditioner that needs to soak into your hair for 10 minutes, the razor, the special bodywash, the face mask stuff. You put everything in the shower. You stop. Still no knocks, no whines, just quiet.
You start the shower. You make sure everything is in there that you want. You stop again just to make sure. Nothing. Sweet! You get in the shower, turn the water as hot as you can get it and start your process. Aahhh, this is relaxing.
Then it happens.......a knock.......I am ingoring it........more knocking.....Where is his father?..........pounding.....I am taking a shower!! Go find daddy!.......silence.......He is gone now back to the shower......MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
GO TO YOUR DAD!!
I WANT YOU MMMMMMOOOOMMMMMY!!
Dammit it all! So you open the door, water getting everywhere, your face mask in your eyes, swearing to yourself and his father.
I just wanted to check on you.
I am okay, just go talk with daddy. I will be right out. Let mommy finish her shower. Then you can have one.
So you rinse your hair then your face. So at least those two things are done as he is still talking outside the shower curtain....
The moment is over why bother with the rest as you soap yourself up. You then tell your child oh mommy is going out tomorrow night but you are going to stay with daddy.
What will we do? the child asks.
Oh, you and daddy will have fun.
Mommy when you come home from being out you need to make us dinner. Then do the laundry, get me and daddy games. Then you can do whatever else.
GET OUT!!!
For those of you without the litte darlings take your time in the shower, enjoy each soapy moment for as soon as you have a child those showers are a few and far between.
